Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary Re-designated as Commissioner/Secretary, Science and Technology Department

The Jammu and Kashmir Government has re-designated Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, IAS (AGMUT:2009) as Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Science and Technology Department.

The re-designation follows the promotion of the officer to the Super Time Scale (Level-14 in the Pay Matrix). The promotion was approved by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, vide endorsement No. 14016/24/2025.UTS-I dated 19 December 2025.

The formal re-designation has been notified through Government Order No. 1966-JK(GAD) of 2025, dated 30 December 2025, issued by the General Administration Department.

The order has been issued by the direction of the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir and takes immediate effect.
