The School Education Department Jammu and Kashmir has issued a tentative seniority list of PG Master Teachers in the discipline of Biochemistry as on 01 January 2025, inviting objections from concerned members of the cadre.
According to the notice, the final seniority list of PG Master Teachers (Biochemistry) was earlier issued vide Government Order No. 8th-JK(Edu) of 2024 dated 15 January 2024. Subsequently, the Department received several representations from concerned Directorates and cadre members seeking inclusion, updation, correction, or deletion of service particulars from the seniority list.

The Department stated that all such representations relating to address corrections, designation changes, service particulars, and seniority positions were thoroughly examined at the departmental level, and genuine grievances were identified and addressed.
It was further clarified that incumbents who acquired higher qualifications (PG degrees) during service through regular mode, without availing proper permission or sanctioned leave from the competent authority, have also been incorporated in the seniority list. However, their seniority and promotion shall remain subject to the condition that due permission was granted by the competent authority for acquiring the qualification during service.
