Govt Keeps JK TET Nodal Agency Order in Abeyance

The School Education Department, Jammu and Kashmir, Civil Secretariat Jammu/Srinagar, has issued a fresh order regarding the designation of the nodal agency for conducting the Teachers Eligibility Test (TET).

As per Government Order No. 87-JK (Edu) of 2026 dated 26-02-2026, the earlier Government Order No. 82-JK (Edu) of 2026 dated 23-02-2026 has been kept in abeyance till further orders.

Designation of Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education / State School Standards Authority (SSSA) as Nodal Agency for Conducting Teachers Eligibility Test (TET).

The order refers to the judgment dated 01.09.2025 passed by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in Civil Appeal No. 1385/2025 and connected matters titled Anjuman Ishat-E-Taleem Trust v/s State of Maharashtra & Others.
