The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has announced a 15% relaxation in syllabus for students of Class 10th, 11th and 12th appearing in the Annual Regular 2026 examinations (February – March session) in the Summer Zone areas of Jammu Division, The relaxation granted earlier for:
- Annual Regular 2025 (Oct-Nov Session) in Kashmir Division
- Winter Zone areas of Jammu Division, including UT of Ladakh
has now been extended to cover students appearing in the Annual Regular 2026 examinations in the Summer Zone of Jammu Division.

Students are advised to prepare from the entire syllabus, keeping in mind that they will have the option to attempt questions carrying 85% marks only. Schools and stakeholders should ensure that students are properly informed about the revised examination pattern to avoid confusion.
Highlights of JKBOSE Syllabus Relaxation
- Students will be required to attempt only 85% of the total marks, which will be treated as 100% marks for evaluation.
- Question papers will be framed from the entire prescribed syllabus.
- Adequate internal choice will be provided so that students can attempt questions corresponding to 85% marks.
- Each Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) will be evaluated individually.
- The same relaxation pattern will apply to the Grammar portion of language subjects.
