JKPSC Lecturer History Select List 2026 Released, Check Merit List

The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) has issued Notification No. 07-PSC (DR-S) of 2026 dated 30 January 2026, announcing the Provisional Select List for the post of Lecturer (History) in the School Education Department.

The recruitment process was initiated after the School Education Department referred 14 posts of Lecturer (History) to JKPSC vide official communications dated 12 November 2024 and 05 December 2024.

The posts were advertised by JKPSC through Notification No. 07-PSC (DR-P) of 2024 dated 09 December 2024, with 09 January 2025 fixed as the cut-off date for eligibility.

Selection Process

• Written Examination: Conducted on 19 October 2025
• Written Result Declared: 01 December 2025
• Candidates Shortlisted for Interview: 47 (Provisionally)
• Viva-Voce Conducted: 19 & 20 January 2026
• Interviews were held with the assistance of experts from outside the UT of J&K

The final merit has been prepared based on written test performance, interview, and other prescribed parameters, in accordance with the relevant JKPSC rules.
