The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) detailed instructions for submission of online application forms for 1815 posts in the Home Department, advertised vide Advertisement Notification No. 12 of 2025 dated 24 December 2025.
Eligible candidates who possess a valid Domicile Certificate of J&K UT and fulfill other eligibility conditions mentioned in the advertisement can apply through the official JKSSB online portal.

Mode of Application
- Applications shall be submitted online only through the official website www.jkssb.nic.in.
- No other mode of application will be accepted.
Step-by-Step Instructions for JKSSB Online Application
- Candidates must visit the official website of JKSSB and click on “Login (Apply on Various Posts)”.
- New users are required to register by clicking on “New User / Sign Up”.
- A valid e-mail ID and mobile number are mandatory for registration.
- Login credentials will be activated through OTP-based verification on e-mail. If OTP fails, candidates must click on “Get Activation Code”.
- Candidates are advised to use the username generated during registration instead of the e-mail ID for login.
- After login, candidates must complete the One Time Registration (OTR) form.
- Once OTR is completed, click on “Active Advertisement” and then “Apply” against the relevant post.
- Fill all required details carefully and click on “Save & Continue”.
Uploading of Documents
Candidates must upload the following documents as per prescribed specifications:
- Live Photograph
- Signature
- Size: 10 KB to 20 KB
- Dimensions: 1.5 cm × 3.5 cm
- Category Certificate (valid as on cut-off date)
- PDF format, maximum size 100 KB
- Qualification Certificate(s)
- PDF format, maximum size 100 KB
Once the application form is finally submitted, no editing will be allowed. Candidates will be personally responsible for the correctness of the information furnished.
Application Fee Payment Instructions
- Application fee must be paid online only through:
- Net Banking
- Debit Card
- Credit Card
- UPI
- After form submission, candidates must click on “Pay Now” to complete the fee payment.
- The fee status must be shown as “Submitted” on the candidate dashboard.
- Applications without successful fee payment will not be considered.
Important Guidelines for Candidates
- No hard copy of the application form is required at this stage.
- Shortlisted candidates must produce a printout of the application form at the time of Document Verification (DV).
- In-service candidates must submit a printed application form along with the duly filled and signed certificate through proper channel.
- Candidates must mention Payee Name and Account Number while submitting any payment-related representation.
- Preferences for Item Nos. 273 and 274 must be clearly indicated while applying.
- Candidates are advised to apply well before the closing date to avoid last-minute technical issues.

- Live face capture using device camera is mandatory.
- Uploaded photographs or screenshots are not allowed.
- Ensure a working camera and stable internet connection.
- Supported browsers: Chrome, Edge, Firefox (latest versions).
- Sit in a well-lit area with your face clearly visible.
- Look directly at the camera with face centered and straight.
- Do not wear masks, caps, hats, sunglasses, or face coverings.
- Only one face must be visible in the frame.
- Do not refresh or close the page during face capture.
- Retry live capture if prompted due to quality issues.
