Overview of Anganwadi Recruitment Notifications (Poshan Projects – Budgam District & Others).

The prescribed application proforma can be obtained from the office of the concerned Poshan Project free of cost.

Eligibility Criteria for Sanginis (Anganwadi Workers – AWW)

• Only women candidates are eligible.
• Age limit: 18 to 37 years as on the cut-off date.
• Candidate must be a domicile of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
• Candidate must be a resident of the electoral ward where the Anganwadi Centre (AWC) is located.
  • Name in the voter list of the concerned ward shall be treated as proof of residence.
  • If the candidate’s name appears in the voter list with parents, an unmarried certificate issued by the Tehsildar is required.
  • In case of dispute regarding residence, a certificate issued by the concerned SDM/ACR will be considered.
• Minimum educational qualification: 10+2 (Higher Secondary).
• Maximum educational qualification: Graduation.
  • Candidates possessing qualification higher than graduation are not eligible.
• If no 10+2 qualified candidate is available in the ward, candidates from adjoining wards may be considered with prior approval of the Mission Director, POSHAN.
• If no suitable candidate is available from adjoining wards, candidates from the nearest ward within the Panchayat may be considered, subject to approval of the Mission Director, POSHAN.

Eligibility Criteria for Sahayikas (Anganwadi Helpers – AWH)

• Only women candidates are eligible.
• Age limit: 18 to 37 years.
• Candidate must be a domicile of UT of J&K.
• Selection shall be restricted to the electoral ward where the Anganwadi Centre is located.
• Minimum educational qualification: Matriculation (Class 10).
• If no matriculate candidate is available in the ward, candidates with minimum 8th class qualification may be considered.
• Preference shall be given to the most destitute/needy married woman of the ward.
• If no married woman is available, an unmarried woman may be considered.

Selection Criteria

• Selection of Sanginis (AWWs) shall be made purely on academic merit based on marks obtained in 10+2.
• No interview shall be conducted for the selection of Sanginis.
• In case of tie in merit, the older candidate shall be given preference.
• Candidates belonging to the family of retired AWWs/AWHs shall be granted additional 2% weightage.

Document Verification

• Shortlisted candidates must appear for document verification with:
  • Original documents
  • Self-attested photocopies of all documents
• Required documents include:
  • Marks sheets/certificates of prescribed qualification
  • Date of Birth certificate or Matriculation certificate
  • Domicile certificate
  • Unmarried certificate (where applicable)
  • Proof of residence/electoral ward certificate
• Candidates must possess all required qualifications and documents on or before the last date of application.
• Failure to produce valid documents may lead to cancellation of candidature.

Affidavit (Mandatory)

All applicants must submit an affidavit stating that:

• All documents submitted are genuine, correct, and free from discrepancies.
• Maximum qualification does not exceed the prescribed limit (Graduation for AWW, Class X for AWH).
• The candidate has read and understood HR Policy No. 222-JK(SWD) of 2022 dated 30-11-2022 and agrees to abide by its provisions.
